Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) are miniature works of art the size of a baseball card or other collectible trading card—2.5" x 3.5" (64 mm x 89 mm). What makes them fun and interesting is that anyone can do them! All levels of work are welcome! The main goal is that they are created with the idea of sharing them with each other.

The front of the card can be done in any media: fabric, stitching, textile arts, paper, rubber stamps, colored pencil, paint, ink, calligraphy, beadwork, digital art, mixed media, collage, and many others. Cards are made as one-of-a-kind pieces or in a limited edition.

The back of each card is generally signed, dated, and may also include a title, contact information, and a number (1/10, 2/10, etc.) if part of a limited edition.

For many, the "Swap" or face-to-face trading session is considered an integral part of the concept as it provides an opportunity for the card makers to meet, talk, and enjoy the fun of giving and receiving art!
